Privacy Policy

HIPH is a tertiary education institution registered with the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development of Zimbabwe, with campuses in Harare, Mutare, Bulawayo, and Gweru. This policy covers hiph.ac.zw and related HIPH services, including the student portal, Chenjerai apply and pay pages, the public e-library, and the anonymous feedback form.

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Enquiries and applications: name, contact details, programme interest, and documents you submit when applying or contacting admissions.
• Student records: enrolment details, academic records, fees, and portal activity for registered students.
• Payments: amount, reference, and payment-channel details processed through Paynow (EcoCash, OneMoney, or card). We do not store full card numbers on this website.
• Feedback: the message you send on the feedback form. Name and email are not required. You may leave a phone number only if you want a reply.
• Technical details: IP address, approximate location from network headers, browser and device hints, page URL, and referrer. These help us investigate abuse of the feedback form and keep the site secure.

We use personal information to:

• process applications, enrolment, teaching, assessment, and student support;
• collect fees and issue receipts;
• respond to enquiries, WhatsApp messages, and optional follow-up on feedback;
• operate the website, e-library, symposium registration, and student portal;
• meet legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements in Zimbabwe; and
• protect students, staff, and HIPH systems against fraud or misuse.

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers who process it on our instructions (for example payment processors, hosting, and the student portal), with examination or accreditation bodies where required, and with authorities when the law requires it. Anonymous feedback is routed to HIPH staff who can act on it; technical metadata may be stored with the submission so the team can investigate issues.

The public website may use essential cookies to keep the site working, and privacy-friendly analytics (including Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use those analytics to sell advertising.

Application, student, and fee records are kept for as long as needed for academic, financial, and legal purposes. Feedback submissions are kept while they are useful for investigation or service improvement, then deleted or archived according to HIPH practice.

You may ask to see, correct, or update personal information we hold about you, subject to student-record and legal limits. Tracked student cases should go through the student portal. Public feedback can stay anonymous.
