The Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH) today joined stakeholders at Seke Teachers’ College’s 39th Graduation Ceremony, where 345 students received Diplomas in Teaching.
Held under the theme, “Accelerating Innovation and Industrial Skills Development Through Heritage-Based Education,” the ceremony highlighted academic excellence, innovation and the role of teacher education in national development. Women made up nearly 92 percent of the graduating class.
The event brought together representatives from the University of Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, traditional leader Chief Seke, and other guests. Outstanding graduates also received cash prizes and awards sponsored by ZIMDEF and other partners. These were presented to the graduates by the University of Zimbabwe Vice Chancellor.
HIPH’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to partnerships that promote quality education, innovation and practical skills development. VVIP guests also witnessed the commissioning of Seke Teachers’ College’s three new top-of-the-range vehicles.
