Our principal Dr Amos Marume, was recently awarded two shields for some of his many academic achievements at the recently held workshop under the theme Changing the Trajectory of Diagnostics in Poor Resource Settings: A generation of excellence. The shields were recognition for his DPhil in Ethnopharmacology with the University of Zimbabwe and PhD in Medical Microbiology (Immunoepidemiology & Immunogenetics) with the University of KwaZulu Natal. Our special gratitude goes to Prof. Takafira Mduluza – University of Zimbabwe, Prof. Francisca Mutapi – University of Edinburgh, Centre for Immunology & Infection Research (C.I.I.R), Parasite Immuno-epidemiology Group, tiba and tibaZ.
